Officials have warned that strict legal action will be taken against traders and shopkeepers found selling products above government-approved prices.

Authorities Warn Against Overpricing

Mujtaba Manzoor, SDO of the PERA Force and Special Magistrate of the Price Control Committee, urged citizens to report any cases of overcharging by retailers.

He said the Punjab government is committed to protecting consumers and ensuring that essential commodities are sold at officially notified rates.

Market Monitoring Intensified

Officials said inspections will continue across the district, and businesses violating government price lists may face legal action under the relevant laws.

Public Asked to Report Violations

Residents of Bahawalpur have been encouraged to report complaints about LPG or other essential items being sold above official prices.

Authorities stated that complaints can be submitted through the designated government channels or directly to the office of the concerned SDO for prompt action.
