Australia Announces Squad for Upcoming ODI Series Against Pakistan

Australia national cricket team has announced its squad for the upcoming ODI series against Pakistan national cricket team, with selectors introducing several new faces as part of preparations for future international assignments.

Australia will play a three-match ODI series in Rawalpindi and Lahore from May 30 to June 4. Mitchell Marsh will lead the side during the tour.

Regular ODI captain Pat Cummins, along with fast bowlers Josh Hazlewood and Mitchell Starc, have been rested following their participation in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

The squad includes opportunities for emerging players, with all-rounder Liam Scott and Victoria batter Oliver Peake earning selections for the Pakistan series.

Meanwhile, experienced players Glenn Maxwell and Marcus Stoinis have not been included in the squad.

Fast bowlers Billy Stanlake and Riley Meredith return to the ODI setup, while spinner Tanveer Sangha has also been named in the touring squad.

Chief selector George Bailey said the series provides a valuable opportunity for both experienced and emerging players ahead of upcoming international tours.

Following the Pakistan series, Australia will travel to Bangladesh for additional ODI and T20I matches scheduled in June.

Several players, including Travis Head, Cooper Connolly, Ben Dwarshuis, and Xavier Bartlett, are expected to join the squad for the Bangladesh leg after completing their IPL commitments.
