The Meteorological Department has forecast a spell of widespread rain, thunderstorms, and possible hailstorms across several regions of Pakistan from June 2 to June 5, 2026.
According to the weather advisory, a westerly wave is expected to enter the upper parts of the country on June 2 and is likely to persist for several days, bringing unstable weather conditions across multiple provinces.
Punjab and Islamabad Forecast
Scattered dust storms, thunderstorms, and rain are expected in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Murree, and surrounding areas. Some locations may also experience heavy rainfall and hailstorms during this period.
Other affected districts include Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Sargodha, Bahawalpur, and several adjoining regions. The weather activity is expected to continue intermittently from June 2 to June 5.
Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan
In Kashmir, areas such as Muzaffarabad, Neelum Valley, Rawalakot, and other districts are likely to experience rain, windstorms, and thunderstorms, with occasional heavy rainfall and hail.
Gilgit-Baltistan is also expected to receive rain and thunderstorms from June 4 to June 6, affecting regions including Gilgit, Skardu, Hunza, and surrounding areas.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Outlook
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is forecast to experience widespread rain, windstorms, and thunderstorms, with the possibility of hail in several districts including Swat, Chitral, Dir, Peshawar, Abbottabad, and Dera Ismail Khan between June 2 and June 5.
Balochistan Weather Update
Parts of northeastern Balochistan, including Quetta, Zhob, Ziarat, Chaman, and nearby districts, are expected to receive dust storms, thunderstorms, and rain from June 2 to June 4.
Sindh Forecast
Upper Sindh regions such as Sukkur, Larkana, Jacobabad, and Khairpur are likely to experience dust storms, thunderstorms, and rainfall between June 2 and June 4.
