Pakistan Extends Airspace Restrictions for Indian Aircraft Until July 24

Pakistan has extended airspace restrictions for aircraft registered, owned, or operated by Indian entities until July 24, according to a Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) issued by the Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA).

The notification states that the restrictions apply to all Indian-operated aircraft, including commercial and non-commercial flights. Aircraft leased and operated by Indian airlines are also covered under the directive.

According to the PAA, the latest extension came into effect on June 16 and will remain in place until the specified end date unless revised by the relevant authorities.

The airspace restrictions are part of aviation measures that have remained in place amid ongoing bilateral tensions between Pakistan and India. Similar restrictions have been implemented by both countries at various times in the past.

Aviation analysts note that airspace limitations can affect flight routes, travel times, and operating costs for airlines, depending on the alternative paths available.
