Pakistan Railways Suspends Shalimar Express for One Month
Pakistan Railways has temporarily suspended the Shalimar Express for 30 days after floodwater damaged a railway bridge near Qila Sattar Shah Musan Kallar.
The premium train service, which operates between Lahore and Karachi via Faisalabad, will remain suspended while repair work is carried out on the affected railway infrastructure.
Bridge Damage Halts Operations
According to railway officials, train operations between Lahore and Faisalabad have been suspended due to damage caused by recent flooding.
Authorities said the Shalimar Express will remain out of service until the damaged bridge is repaired and the route is declared safe for train operations.
Passenger Travel Affected
The temporary suspension is expected to affect passengers who regularly travel on the Lahore–Karachi route using the premium train service.
Pakistan Railways has advised travelers to check the latest train schedules and service updates before planning their journeys while restoration work continues.
