Pakistan Receives Seventh LNG Cargo From Qatar to Support Energy Supplies

Pakistan is set to receive another liquefied natural gas (LNG) shipment from Qatar as part of ongoing efforts to maintain stable energy supplies across the country.

The LNG carrier MRAIKH is expected to arrive at Port Qasim carrying approximately 170,148 cubic meters of LNG from Ras Laffan, Qatar. The cargo is being delivered under a long-term supply agreement linked to international energy pricing benchmarks.

According to shipping information, the vessel has completed its journey from Qatar and is scheduled to reach Pakistan’s port facilities shortly.

The latest shipment marks the seventh LNG cargo received by Pakistan since late April. Energy authorities have continued to coordinate fuel imports to ensure adequate gas availability and support domestic energy requirements.

Officials say these LNG deliveries are part of broader efforts to strengthen energy security and maintain a reliable supply of natural gas for consumers and industries.

Qatar remains one of Pakistan’s key LNG suppliers under long-term agreements that help meet the country’s growing energy demand. Regular cargo arrivals play an important role in supporting power generation and industrial activity, particularly during periods of increased consumption.
