PCB Approves Massive Rs. 18.30 Billion Budget for 2025–26 to Boost Pakistan Cricket

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has reportedly approved a significant budget of Rs. 18.30 billion for the 2025–26 financial year, aiming to strengthen cricket at all levels across the country.

Budget Details and Focus Areas

The decision was finalized during the recent Board of Governors meeting in Lahore, chaired by PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi. The funding will support various aspects of Pakistan cricket, both on and off the field.

A major portion of the budget will be allocated to domestic cricket tournaments nationwide, which are crucial for spotting and nurturing future national players.

Investment in International Cricket and Player Welfare

The PCB has also earmarked funds to host international home series, organize overseas tours, and provide modern training camps to prepare players for important upcoming events.

Player salaries, including central contracts and match fees, will continue to receive strong financial support, ensuring better stability for both national and domestic cricketers.

Infrastructure Upgrades and Women’s Cricket Development

Upgrading stadium facilities is another key focus, with improvements planned in several cities that have traditionally been overlooked. Some of these upgrades are already in progress.

Importantly, the PCB is reserving a portion of the budget to enhance women’s cricket through grassroots programs, domestic competitions, and preparation of the national women’s team.

Aiming for Consistent Global Success

With this historic budget allocation, the PCB aims to build a more professional cricket structure capable of delivering consistent performances on the international stage.
