Petrol and Diesel Prices Reduced Again in Pakistan
ISLAMABAD: The federal government has reduced the prices of petrol and high-speed diesel (HSD), providing another small relief to consumers following consecutive cuts in fuel rates.
According to the latest fuel price update issued by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA), the price of petrol has been cut by Rs1.49 per litre, bringing it down to Rs387.54 per litre.
The price of high-speed diesel has also been reduced by Rs2.73 per litre. It will now be available at Rs402.24 per litre.
Fuel Prices Reduced for Second Consecutive Day
The latest reduction comes a day after the government lowered fuel prices on September 28. Petrol was reduced by Rs2.27 per litre to Rs389.03, while diesel dropped by Rs3.56 to Rs404.97 per litre.
With the latest adjustment, both major petroleum products have recorded another decline in their retail prices.
Petrol and Diesel Rates Since Daily Pricing Began
Since the introduction of daily fuel price revisions, petrol has recorded an overall increase of Rs76.83 per litre, while diesel has risen by Rs78.94 per litre, despite the recent reductions.

The government has been revising fuel prices frequently under the current daily pricing mechanism, with rates changing in line with the applicable pricing calculations.
For consumers, the latest cuts mean slightly lower fuel costs for petrol and diesel purchases compared with the previous day’s rates.
