PTI Announces Long March From Lakki Marwat to Islamabad

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has announced plans to begin a long march toward Islamabad on October 4, with the convoy scheduled to start from Gandi Chowk in Lakki Marwat.

According to the party’s schedule, the march will depart at 1pm under the leadership of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi. The convoy is expected to stop in Karak before moving toward Kohat on October 5 and reaching Peshawar on October 6.

The party has said the march will subsequently move toward Swabi as part of its wider programme.

PTI Reports Rs40 Million in Donations

PTI has also launched a fundraising campaign to support the planned march.

Speaking during a donation campaign in Peshawar, Chief Minister Sohail Afridi said the party had collected Rs40 million in a single day.

He thanked party workers, lawmakers and supporters who contributed to the campaign and said the fundraising effort would continue.

Afridi said the march would begin from Lakki Marwat, reach Peshawar and then proceed toward Swabi.

Party Calls for Peaceful Participation

The chief minister urged participants to keep the march peaceful and asked them not to carry weapons.

He described the protest as an important political campaign and called on PTI supporters to participate in the planned activities.

PTI’s provincial leadership has also announced arrangements for convoys from different parts of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.

Provincial President Junaid Akbar is expected to lead the convoy from Malakand, while groups from Hazara and the tribal districts are scheduled to join the main gathering at Swabi.

Provincial Information Minister Shafee Jan said preparations for the long march had been completed.
