24,000 Pakistanis in Spain Benefit from Residency Regularization Program
Pakistan has assisted thousands of its citizens in Spain as approximately 24,000 Pakistani nationals have reportedly become eligible for legal residency under Spain’s migrant regularization program.
According to officials, Pakistani authorities facilitated the documentation process by issuing around 8,000 passports, 24,000 character certificates, and 10,000 affidavits to support applicants in meeting the requirements set by Spanish authorities.
Spain’s regularization initiative is designed to provide eligible undocumented migrants with an opportunity to obtain legal residency after fulfilling specific conditions. A significant number of Pakistani nationals are reported to have benefited from the program.
Officials stated that the documentation campaign was launched to help overseas Pakistanis complete the necessary legal and administrative procedures before the application deadline.
The development is expected to improve the legal status of thousands of Pakistani workers in Spain, enabling them to access formal employment opportunities and other benefits available to legal residents.
