2026 Asian Games Esports Qualifiers: 23 Teams to Battle for PUBG MOBILE Spots

PUBG MOBILE Esports has officially announced the participating teams for the 2026 Asian Games Esports Qualifiers: PUBG MOBILE Asian Games Version, with 23 National Olympic Committees (NOCs) set to compete for a place at the 20th Asian Games.
The tournament marks the second time PUBG MOBILE will feature as an official esports title at the Asian Games, highlighting the growing popularity of competitive mobile gaming across Asia.
Qualifiers Begin on June 19
The Road to the Asian Games will start in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, where teams will compete from June 19 to June 21.
The 23 participating teams have been divided into two groups for the Group Stage, which will take place over two days. The top six teams from each group will advance to the Qualifiers Finals.
In the Finals, 12 teams will compete across six matches, with the top eight teams earning qualification for the Asian Games Esports Events in Japan.
Tournament Format
- Group Stage: June 19–20
- Qualifiers Finals: June 21
- Top 6 teams from each group advance to the Finals
- Top 8 teams from the Finals qualify for the Asian Games
The tournament will follow PUBG MOBILE’s classic Battle Royale format.

Pakistan Among Key Contenders
Pakistan is expected to be one of the strongest teams in the qualifiers, alongside regional powerhouses such as Indonesia, Iraq, and Uzbekistan.
Several well-known esports athletes and teams from across Asia are expected to participate, bringing high-level competition and intense matches throughout the event.
Asian Games Qualification Path
The eight successful teams from the qualifiers will join:
- China (Gold Medalist at the previous Asian Games)
- Republic of Korea (Silver Medalist)
- Chinese Taipei (Bronze Medalist)
- Japan (Host Nation)
