Government Launches Online Hajj Payment System for Pilgrims

The Ministry of Religious Affairs has introduced a new online payment system for Hajj applicants, allowing pilgrims to pay their Hajj dues digitally through the 1LINK network without visiting banks or government offices.

According to the ministry, the initiative was launched on the instructions of the prime minister as part of broader efforts to modernize public services and make the Hajj application process more convenient.

Officials said the Hajj management system has now been fully digitized, covering every stage from registration to payment. The new platform is designed to simplify the process, improve transparency, and reduce the need for in-person visits.

Under the updated system, applicants can complete Hajj-related payments online from the comfort of their homes using the secure digital payment facility.

The ministry also confirmed that overseas Pakistanis can benefit from the service by completing both Hajj registration and payment of dues through the online platform.

Meanwhile, online registration for Hajj 2027 is currently underway, with authorities encouraging intending pilgrims to use the digital system for a smoother application experience.

According to the Ministry of Religious Affairs, registrations through the online Hajj portal have already exceeded 150,000, reflecting growing public adoption of the new digital service.

The launch of the online payment system is part of the government’s wider digital transformation strategy aimed at making essential public services more accessible, efficient, and user-friendly for citizens.
