Pakistan Captain Fatima Sana Named in ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 Team of the Tournament

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced its Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 Team of the Tournament, with Pakistan captain Fatima Sana earning a place following an impressive all-round performance throughout the competition.
The 12-player squad features cricketers from eight different countries. Australia, which won the tournament, has the highest representation with four players, while England, the runners-up, has two players included.

Fatima Sana was Pakistan’s standout performer during the tournament. Although Pakistan registered one victory in the 12-team event, she consistently contributed with both bat and ball.
The Pakistan captain claimed 11 wickets in five matches at an average of 11.27 and scored 85 runs, making her one of the team’s most influential players.
One of her best performances came against South Africa, where she scored an unbeaten 55 runs after Pakistan had slipped to 50/8. She also took 3 wickets for 16 runs in the same match, nearly guiding her side to victory.
Fatima also starred against the Netherlands, taking 3 wickets for 12 runs as Pakistan secured a 37-run win in its final group-stage fixture.
Among other standout performers, England opener Danni Wyatt-Hodge finished as the tournament’s leading run-scorer with 302 runs, while India’s Sree Charani topped the bowling charts with 14 wickets.
Australia’s Beth Mooney was named Player of the Tournament after scoring 238 runs, including important contributions during the knockout stages that helped Australia lift another Women’s T20 World Cup title.
