Government Increases Jet Fuel Price Following Latest Petroleum Price Revision

The Government of Pakistan has increased the price of jet fuel following the latest revision in petroleum product prices.

According to an official notification issued on Saturday, the price of aviation fuel has been increased by Rs13.23 per litre, bringing the new rate to Rs251.20 per litre.

New Jet Fuel Price

Under the revised pricing:

  • Jet Fuel: Rs251.20 per litre
  • Increase: Rs13.23 per litre

The updated rate has come into effect immediately and will remain applicable until the next government price review.

Impact on the Aviation Sector

The increase in jet fuel prices is expected to raise operating costs for airlines, as fuel remains one of the largest expenses in the aviation industry.

Airlines regularly monitor changes in fuel prices because they can influence overall operational costs and business planning.

Linked to Global Oil Market Trends

Officials said the latest adjustment follows recent movements in international crude oil prices, which have contributed to higher fuel costs in global energy markets.

Pakistan periodically reviews domestic petroleum prices based on international market trends and other economic factors, resulting in adjustments to various fuel products, including aviation fuel.
