Technical Issues Detected in 6 of 11 Electric Buses Sent to Murree

Technical problems have been identified in six of the 11 electric buses recently provided to Murree under Punjab’s Green Bus Electric Bus project.

Murree Deputy Commissioner Agha Zaheer Abbas Shirazi took notice of the issue and visited the buses with a technical team for an inspection. Following the assessment, a letter was sent to the provincial transport authorities requesting immediate repairs and technical clearance for the affected vehicles.

Chinese Engineers to Inspect and Repair Buses

According to officials, a team of Chinese engineers is expected to visit Murree to examine the buses, identify the technical issues and carry out the necessary repairs.

The district administration has directed that none of the affected buses should operate on public roads until they have been fully inspected, repaired and declared fit for service.

Officials said the precautionary measures are aimed at ensuring reliable and safe transportation for residents and tourists visiting Murree.

Once the buses receive the required technical clearance, the administration plans to put them into service to improve public transport facilities in the hill station.

Electric Buses Introduced in Murree

A total of 11 electric buses were handed over to the Murree district administration in June under the Green Bus project.

The initiative was launched with the aim of providing modern public transport while reducing emissions and improving travel facilities for residents and tourists.
