Trading activity remained active during the session, with around 65.08 million shares changing hands.
The total value of traded shares stood at approximately Rs5.76 billion, reflecting continued investor participation in the market.
Oil Prices Support Market Sentiment
The positive movement in Pakistani equities came as international oil prices declined amid expectations of possible diplomatic progress in the Iran conflict.
A partial recovery in Saudi Arabia’s oil shipments also provided some relief to markets concerned about disruptions to regional energy supplies.
However, continued attacks by Yemen’s Houthis have kept uncertainty around key energy routes, limiting the strength of the market’s early gains.
Investors are now closely watching developments in global oil markets and the broader geopolitical situation, which could continue to influence trading activity at the PSX.
