Maaz Sadaqat Hits Record Century in CPL 2026 Final

Pakistan’s Maaz Sadaqat produced a record-breaking performance in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2026 final, scoring a century for Jamaica Kingsmen against Antigua and Barbuda Falcons at Kensington Oval in Barbados.
The 21-year-old batter scored 114 runs from just 58 balls, hitting eight fours and nine sixes. His innings helped Jamaica Kingsmen reach 170-9 in their 20 overs.
Sadaqat’s century made him the first Pakistani batter to score a hundred in the final of a franchise-based T20 tournament. He also became the first player to score a century in a CPL final.
His score of 114 is the highest individual total recorded in a CPL final, surpassing the previous best scores from Lendl Simmons and Brandon King.
Second Century of CPL Season
The final was Sadaqat’s second century of the 2026 CPL campaign.
He had earlier scored 112 runs from 49 balls in the Eliminator, becoming the youngest player to score a century in CPL history.
With two centuries in the same season, Sadaqat also became the first overseas player and fourth batter overall to achieve the feat in a CPL season. Dwayne Smith had previously accomplished the milestone, while Shimron Hetmyer also recorded two centuries during the 2026 tournament.
Sadaqat finished the competition with 363 runs from seven matches at an average of 60.50 and a strike rate of 174.52, placing him third among the tournament’s leading run-scorers.
Falcons Complete Successful Chase
Despite Sadaqat’s outstanding innings, Jamaica Kingsmen could not defend their total.
Saim Ayub was Jamaica’s only other notable contributor, scoring 29 runs from 22 deliveries.
For Antigua and Barbuda Falcons, Sufiyan Muqeem was the leading bowler with figures of 4-14. Alzarri Joseph claimed two wickets, while Jayden Seales, Shadab Khan and Shamar Springer took one wicket each.
The Falcons chased down the target of 171 in 16.4 overs, losing just two wickets to win the final by eight wickets and claim the CPL 2026 championship.
Amir Jangoo led the successful chase with 57 off 34 balls, while Hasan Nawaz remained unbeaten on 47 from 35 deliveries.
The Falcons reached their target with 20 balls remaining, completing a memorable finish to the 2026 CPL season.
