Pakistan Set to Miss World Championship of Legends

Pakistan will reportedly not participate in the upcoming World Championship of Legends, according to sources.
The tournament is scheduled to begin in the United Arab Emirates on October 3 and features several former international cricketers representing teams from different countries.
According to the report, Pakistani cricketers will not be permitted to take part in this year’s competition, while the use of Pakistan’s name for a participating team will also not be allowed.
Pakistan-India fixture affected
The development comes after the Indian team declined to play against Pakistan Champions during the previous edition of the tournament.
Pakistan Champions had been included in the schedule for this year’s competition, with a match against India Champions listed for October 10 in Dubai.
The reported decision means the planned Pakistan-India fixture is also set to be affected.

The World Championship of Legends will feature teams representing India, Pakistan, Australia, England, South Africa, West Indies and Bangladesh.
The scheduled matches include:
- October 3: India Champions vs Australia Champions; Pakistan Champions vs Bangladesh Champions
- October 4: South Africa Champions vs West Indies Champions; India Champions vs England Champions
- October 5: Australia Champions vs Pakistan Champions; Bangladesh Champions vs England Champions
- October 6: India Champions vs South Africa Champions; Pakistan Champions vs West Indies Champions
- October 7: Australia Champions vs Bangladesh Champions; England Champions vs West Indies Champions
- October 9: Australia Champions vs South Africa Champions; Bangladesh Champions vs West Indies Champions
