World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka and 24-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic headline the initial list of 16 teams entered for the 2026 US Open Mixed Doubles Championship.

The tournament, which was revamped last year to encourage greater participation from top singles players, has attracted several of the sport’s biggest names once again.

Top Players Return to the Event

Among the notable teams entered are:

  • Aryna Sabalenka and Novak Djokovic
  • Iga Swiatek and Casper Ruud
  • Elena Rybakina and Taylor Fritz
  • Naomi Osaka and Kei Nishikori
  • Jessica Pegula and Jack Draper

The event features a strong lineup of leading ATP and WTA players, reflecting the growing popularity of the updated mixed doubles format.

Tournament Schedule

The main draw is scheduled to take place over August 25–26, with all matches to be played at Arthur Ashe Stadium and Louis Armstrong Stadium, the two main venues at the US Open.

Matches will also be broadcast through ESPN’s platforms, allowing fans to follow the action throughout the event.

Entry Process

Teams can register until August 17. The six teams with the highest combined singles rankings at the close of entries will automatically qualify for the main draw.

As the current world No. 1 and world No. 5, Sabalenka and Djokovic are expected to secure automatic qualification based on their rankings.

In addition, the United States Tennis Association (USTA) will award eight wild cards, while two more teams will earn their places through a qualifying tournament scheduled for August 24.

Prize and Format

The updated mixed doubles competition was introduced to attract more of the sport’s top singles players by offering a high-profile format and a $1 million prize for the winning team.

With many of tennis’ biggest stars expected to compete, the 2026 US Open Mixed Doubles Championship is set to be one of the tournament’s most anticipated events.
