FDE Opens Admissions for First-Year Students in Islamabad Model Colleges for 2026-27

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) has announced the opening of admissions for HSSC-I (First Year) in Islamabad Model Colleges for the academic session 2026-27.

Students who have successfully passed the SSC Part-II examination are eligible to apply for admission to Islamabad Model Colleges located in both urban and rural areas under the FDE.

According to the admission schedule, the online registration process will remain open from July 30 to August 5, 2026. The list of shortlisted candidates will be announced on August 7, followed by document verification and interviews, which will be completed by August 14.

The first merit list will be displayed on August 17, and selected candidates will have to submit their admission fees by August 18. The second merit list will be announced on August 19, while regular classes are scheduled to begin from August 20.

The FDE has stated that students can complete the online admission process free of cost through the designated colleges. However, only residents of the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) and children of federal government employees living in Islamabad or Rawalpindi are eligible to apply.

The directorate will evaluate applications according to its approved admission policy. Applicants can access the admission policy, college prospectus, available subject combinations, and other relevant information through the FDE’s online admission portal.
