Jinnah Peoples Train Set to Begin Service in Balochistan

QUETTA: The Jinnah Peoples Train has been rolled out from the Carriage Factory, marking progress toward expanding affordable and safer public transport options in Balochistan.

The Balochistan government has allocated Rs3 billion to Pakistan Railways to support the operation of the new train service.

According to officials, the train coaches were manufactured at the Carriage Factory within four months.

The service is expected to begin operations soon on the Sariab-Kuchlak route. It is intended to provide more affordable and convenient transportation for residents, particularly students, women, children, workers and other commuters.

The initiative is aimed at improving local connectivity while offering an additional public transport option for people travelling between Sariab and Kuchlak.
