OGRA Announces Major Reduction in Kerosene Oil Price

The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has issued a notification announcing a significant reduction in the price of kerosene oil across Pakistan.

According to the notification, the price of kerosene oil has been reduced by Rs28.29 per litre, bringing the new rate down from Rs282.19 to Rs233.90 per litre.

The price revision comes after the federal government announced a broader fuel relief package in response to improving global oil prices and regional economic conditions.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said the government is passing on the benefit of lower international fuel rates directly to consumers, helping ease inflationary pressure on households.

Earlier, the government also reduced petrol prices by Rs74 per litre and high-speed diesel by Rs67 per litre, marking one of the largest fuel price cuts in recent months.

Officials stated that the decision is part of ongoing efforts to stabilize energy costs and provide relief to the public.
