Pakistan to Launch Passport Home Delivery Service from July 1

The Directorate General of Immigration and Passports has announced that a home delivery service for passports will begin from July 1, as part of efforts to improve public service delivery and reduce waiting times at passport offices.

Director General Muhammad Ali Randhawa said the new system is designed to make the passport issuance process more convenient by delivering passports directly to applicants at their homes.

He made the announcement during visits to various passport offices, where he reviewed service delivery and addressed public complaints. He instructed staff to ensure timely resolution of citizen issues and improve overall efficiency in passport-related services.

According to officials, the upgraded delivery system aims to reduce the need for repeated visits to passport offices and help citizens avoid long queues. The initiative is also intended to make the process more transparent and user-friendly.

The DG also directed courier service providers involved in the project to ensure the secure handling and timely delivery of passports to applicants.

Authorities said the government is focused on modernizing public services through digital and logistical improvements, with the goal of making essential documentation processes faster and more accessible.

The new home delivery system is expected to benefit thousands of applicants by streamlining the final stage of passport issuance across the country.
