Rawalpindiz Restrict Islamabad United to 137 in PSL 11 Clash

Rawalpindiz produced a disciplined bowling performance to restrict Islamabad United to 137 runs in their allotted 20 overs during the 34th match of Pakistan Super League 11 at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi.

Early Pressure from Bowlers

Islamabad United had a slow start, with openers struggling to build momentum in the powerplay. Mohammad Amir provided the first breakthrough, dismissing Sameer Minhas early in the innings.

Soon after, Naseem Shah removed another top-order batter, leaving Islamabad under pressure inside the first six overs.

Middle-Order Struggles

The situation worsened when Saad Masood dismissed captain Shadab Khan cheaply, reducing Islamabad United to 30-3.

A brief recovery came through a partnership between Devon Conway and Mark Chapman, which helped the team cross the 50-run mark.

However, the partnership was broken when Daryl Mitchell dismissed Conway after a steady innings of 40 runs.

Regular Wickets Halt Progress

Asif Afridi further tightened the grip by removing Chapman, while Saad Masood picked up another wicket to maintain pressure.

Mohammad Amir returned to dismiss Faheem Ashraf, leaving Islamabad struggling in the final overs.

Late Resistance Not Enough

Chris Green provided a late push with a quick 29 runs, helping Islamabad United cross the 130-run mark.

However, the innings ended at 137, with Dian Forrester taking two wickets in quick succession to wrap up the innings.

Bowling Highlights

Rawalpindiz bowlers maintained consistent pressure throughout the match, with Mohammad Amir, Saad Masood, and Dian Forrester each claiming two wickets in a well-coordinated team effort.
