Security forces have foiled a suicide attack targeting a military post near Miranshah in North Waziristan, according to security sources.
Officials said the attackers attempted to ram an explosives-laden vehicle into the post. However, timely action by security personnel prevented the vehicle from reaching its target, and it was destroyed before impact.
Security sources further said that four militants were killed during the operation, while the post remained secure. Additional forces were deployed in the area as a precaution.
Authorities added that recent operations in the region have increased pressure on militant networks, with several suspects already eliminated in ongoing action around Miranshah.
Follow-up clearance and search operations are continuing to secure the surrounding area and identify those involved in the attempted attack.
Security officials also stated that the situation remains under control and that further action will be taken against any facilitators linked to the incident.
