Shakira and Burna Boy’s ‘Dai Dai’ Sees Streaming Boost After 2026 FIFA World Cup Final
Shakira and Burna Boy’s collaboration “Dai Dai” has reached a new streaming milestone following its performance during the inaugural FIFA World Cup Halftime Show at the 2026 FIFA World Cup Final.
The song recorded its highest single-day streaming figures after the tournament concluded on July 19, 2026, highlighting its growing global popularity.
According to music analytics company Luminate, “Dai Dai” generated nearly 2.2 million official on-demand streams in the United States on July 20. This represented a 65% increase compared to the day before the World Cup Final and an 84% rise compared to the day after the song’s debut performance during the tournament’s opening ceremony.
The halftime show also contributed to increased streaming for several other featured tracks. Justin Bieber’s “Everything Hallelujah” experienced a 161% increase in U.S. streams, reaching approximately 268,000, while BTS’ “Dynamite” recorded a 74% increase, totaling around 312,000 streams.
Among the featured performances, “Dai Dai” achieved the strongest overall momentum, entering the Top 20 of Spotify and Apple Music’s real-time charts in several markets.
The World Cup’s musical spotlight also benefited other well-known songs, including Oasis’ “Wonderwall”, which gained renewed attention during England’s tournament campaign.
The strong streaming performance has also been reflected on the music charts. “Dai Dai” climbed to a new peak of No. 42 on the Billboard Hot 100, marking its highest position on the chart to date.
