Sindh Cabinet Approves Increase in Conveyance Allowance for Government Employees

The Sindh Cabinet has approved a package of financial relief for provincial government employees, including an increase in conveyance allowance and the introduction of a Differential Allowance 2026 for employees in Grades 1 to 16.

The revised allowances will be effective from July 1, 2026.

Differential Allowance for Grades 1–16

Under the approved package, employees in Grades 1 to 16 will receive a Differential Allowance 2026 equal to 2% of their frozen 2022 basic pay.

The measure is aimed at providing additional financial support to eligible government employees.

50% Increase in Conveyance Allowance

The Sindh government has also approved a 50% increase in the monthly conveyance allowance for all provincial government employees.

The revised monthly rates are as follows:

Special Conveyance Allowance for Employees with Disabilities

The cabinet also approved an increase in the Special Conveyance Allowance for employees with disabilities.

The monthly allowance has been raised from Rs. 6,000 to Rs. 10,000.

Executive Allowance Proposal Not Approved

During the meeting, the Sindh Cabinet reviewed a proposal to introduce an executive allowance. However, the proposal was not approved.

The newly approved allowances are expected to provide additional financial support to provincial government employees following their implementation from July 1, 2026.
