The Pakistan Mixed Martial Arts Federation (PAKMMAF) will host a landmark event, “Battle for Truth – Pakistan Combat Night,” on August 24 at DHA Stadium, Phase 6, Lahore. The event celebrates Pakistan’s sporting achievements and expresses solidarity with the Pakistan Armed Forces, with support from the Punjab government.

The event features two major competitions: the Pakistan Open MMA Championship and Road to BRAVE 100. Amateur fighters from four regional teams, including men and women, will compete in various weight categories in the Open MMA Championship. Winners will earn the opportunity to represent Pakistan at the IMMAF World Championships in Georgia later this year.

The Road to BRAVE 100 fight card will see Pakistan’s top fighters take on international opponents from Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Iran, Egypt, and Morocco. Victors will qualify for BRAVE CF 100, the global flagship event of BRAVE Combat Federation in Bahrain.

PAKMMAF President Omar Ahmed praised Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz for her support, saying MMA is becoming the sport of choice for Pakistani youth. Highlighting last year’s achievements, he noted that Pakistani MMA athletes defeated Indian fighters in ten consecutive bouts across Dubai, Lahore, and Bahrain.

Female athletes Bano Butt and Iman Khan, both gold medalists, will also compete, showcasing MMA’s role in promoting women’s empowerment. Punjab Sports Minister Faisal Khokhar added, “We aim to make Punjab the sports capital of Pakistan, and MMA is central to that vision.”

Pakistan Combat Night promises to be more than a tournament—it is a showcase of talent, unity, and Pakistan’s ambition in global combat sports.
