A serious workplace dispute has come to light at PIMS Hospital, where a trainee doctor has accused a senior colleague of assaulting him during duty hours.

According to reports, Dr. Ibrahim, a trainee at the hospital, has filed a written complaint at Karachi Company Police Station, requesting legal action over the incident.

Trainee’s Account

In his statement, Dr. Ibrahim said he was stopped by a hospital security guard on the instructions of Dr. Abdul Khaliq, a senior doctor at the facility. Shortly after, a confrontation allegedly took place, during which the trainee claims he was physically attacked and his mobile phone damaged.

He further alleged that he was confined in a room for two hours following the altercation.
