The owner of Hyderabad Kingsmen has claimed that the Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise has seen a sharp rise in valuation following its debut season in PSL 11.

Fawad Sarwar, owner of the franchise, said in a recent YouTube interview that the team’s estimated value has increased to around $190 million, reportedly nearly three times higher than its original acquisition cost.

He said a reputed valuation firm assessed the franchise during its first PSL season and found that its market value had already grown significantly even before the season concluded.

The Hyderabad Kingsmen franchise was acquired on January 8, 2026, by FKS Group, a US-based aviation and healthcare conglomerate, for Rs. 175 crore during the PSL expansion auction.

Sarwar also pointed out differences in financial structures between newly introduced franchises and the original PSL teams. He noted that revised valuations ahead of the 2026–2035 cycle have created variations in franchise fees across teams.

According to updated assessments, Lahore Qalandars were valued as the most expensive existing franchise at approximately Rs. 98 crore per year, followed by Peshawar Zalmi at around Rs. 87 crore. Karachi Kings were valued at nearly Rs. 80 crore, while Multan Sultans saw a slight decrease in valuation compared to their original entry price.

Sarwar said the differences in franchise costs have also affected the sponsorship market, as lower-cost teams can sometimes offer more competitive deals to advertisers.

He emphasized that franchise value should not only be measured through short-term profits but also through long-term brand growth and market expansion.

He further claimed that Hyderabad Kingsmen have achieved strong international reach, particularly in the United States, and are attracting interest from global sponsors and media platforms.

Sarwar added that discussions are underway with potential partners in North America, while a major streaming platform is reportedly producing a documentary on the team’s debut season.

Despite a challenging start, Hyderabad Kingsmen managed to reach the PSL 11 final after a strong comeback in the tournament, before finishing as runners-up after losing to Peshawar Zalmi in the playoffs.
