foodpanda and Al Khidmat Foundation Organize Beach Clean-Up Drive in Karachi on World Environment Day

To mark World Environment Day, foodpanda Pakistan partnered with the Al Khidmat Foundation to organize a large-scale beach clean-up drive at Sea View, Karachi. The initiative aimed to promote environmental awareness and encourage community participation in protecting coastal areas.

The event brought together foodpanda delivery partners, volunteers, and team members who worked collectively to remove litter and waste from the shoreline. The activity highlighted the importance of environmental responsibility and sustainable practices in preserving Pakistan’s natural spaces.

Speaking on the occasion, Ahsan Malik, Director Logistics at foodpanda Pakistan, said that environmental responsibility is an important part of the company’s broader commitment to the communities it serves. He noted that the participation of delivery partners in the clean-up effort reflected the organization’s shared values of community engagement and environmental care.

To support the initiative, organizers provided volunteers with safety and clean-up materials, including gloves, caps, and event t-shirts. Participants worked together throughout the activity to help improve the cleanliness of the beach and raise awareness about responsible waste disposal.

The beach clean-up drive forms part of foodpanda’s ongoing efforts to support environmental sustainability and community welfare initiatives across Pakistan. Through collaborations with community organizations, the company aims to encourage positive environmental action and contribute to a cleaner and healthier future.

World Environment Day is observed globally to promote awareness and action for environmental protection, with communities, organizations, and businesses participating in activities that support sustainability and conservation.
