flydubai to Start Three Weekly Cargo Flights to Karachi
Dubai-based airline flydubai is set to launch dedicated cargo flights between Dubai and Karachi from October 1, 2026, expanding its freight operations in the region.
The airline will operate the Dubai Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC) to Karachi route three times a week using Boeing 737-800 freighter aircraft.
New Cargo Service
flydubai plans to introduce three Boeing 737-800 freighters under a wet-lease agreement with SolitAir.
Each aircraft will provide around 23,000 kilograms of additional cargo capacity per flight. Dubai’s Al Maktoum International Airport will serve as the dedicated hub for flydubai’s freighter operations.
Karachi is among the first destinations included in the airline’s new cargo network. Other initial routes include Doha, Erbil, Kuwait City and Sulaymaniyah, with additional destinations in South Asia and other parts of Asia planned for the future.
Cargo Services for Businesses
The new freighter operation will allow flydubai to transport a range of specialised cargo, including:
- Pharmaceutical products
- Perishable goods
- Live animals
- Express shipments
- Aerospace components
- Regulated and other specialised cargo
According to the airline, the dedicated freighter fleet will increase its logistics capacity and provide businesses with additional main-deck cargo space across its regional network.
The new Karachi service is expected to provide another air-freight option for businesses involved in trade between Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates.
