Kane Williamson Shares Love for Pakistani Cuisine and Excitement to Play for Karachi Kings in PSL 10
Veteran New Zealand batter Kane Williamson has expressed his enthusiasm for joining the Karachi Kings in the ongoing Season 10 of the Pakistan Super League (PSL). The experienced cricketer was selected in the supplementary category during the PSL 10 draft and is looking forward to representing the franchise.
Speaking about his return to Pakistan following the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, Williamson shared his excitement about wearing the Karachi Kings jersey. “It’s great to be back. I’m really looking forward to this experience,” he said.
He also spoke highly of team captain David Warner, saying, “We have got Warner as captain, who I know well and have played a lot with. I am looking forward to joining him again and the other team members that we have on the side.”
In a lighter moment, Williamson delighted fans by naming biryani and paratha as his favorite Pakistani dishes. “A favourite of mine and one that I have had on a number of occasions would be biryani,” he said. “The breads over here are outstanding. You have got to be careful if you have too many of them. So, I love a bit of paratha,” he added with a smile.
His warm comments have resonated with cricket fans across Pakistan, further endearing him to Karachi Kings supporters as the team gears up for the second half of the tournament.
The Karachi Kings will be back in action on May 1 against Multan Sultans at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore. They are scheduled to play Lahore Qalandars on May 4, Peshawar Zalmi on May 8, and will wrap up their group stage with a match against defending champions Islamabad United on May 10.
Under the leadership of David Warner, the Kings currently hold fourth place on the PSL 10 points table with three wins from six games.
