Lahore to Face Strong Heatwave Conditions in Coming Days

Lahore is expected to experience intense heatwave conditions over the coming days, with temperatures forecast to reach between 44°C and 45°C.

According to the latest weather outlook, the city will continue to see hot and dry conditions, with strong sunlight making daytime temperatures feel even more severe.

Heatwave Expected Across Punjab

Weather authorities indicate that the broader heatwave may continue across Punjab until June 12. In Lahore, daytime temperatures are expected to remain very high, while nighttime temperatures may stay around 30°C, offering limited relief.

The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has issued a heatwave alert for several parts of Punjab from June 8 to June 12, advising residents to take precautionary measures.

Public Advisory Issued

Citizens have been advised to avoid direct sunlight during peak hours, reduce unnecessary outdoor activity, and take steps to stay hydrated. Health experts also recommend extra care for children, the elderly, and individuals with existing medical conditions during extreme weather.

Officials have stressed the importance of following safety guidelines to reduce the risk of heat-related illnesses during the ongoing heatwave period.

Ongoing Monitoring

Meteorological authorities are continuing to monitor the situation closely and will provide updates if conditions change. Residents are encouraged to stay informed through official weather forecasts and advisories.

The current forecast suggests that hot and dry conditions are likely to persist throughout the week before any significant relief in temperature is observed.
