Pakistan Announce Test Squads for West Indies and England Tours

Lahore, July 5, 2026: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the national Test squads for the upcoming tours of the West Indies and England. The squads were revealed during a press conference at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.

Babar Azam will captain Pakistan in both Test series. Pakistan will first travel to the West Indies for a two-match Test series from July 25 to August 6, followed by a three-match Test series in England from August 19 to September 13.

A 16-member squad has been selected for the West Indies tour, while a 17-member squad has been named for the England series. Saud Shakeel has been included in the England squad, subject to passing a fitness assessment.

The selection also features four uncapped players:

  • Left-arm spinner Ali Usman
  • Right-handed batter Muhammad Awais Zafar
  • Fast bowler Ubaid Shah
  • Wicketkeeper-batter Muhammad Ghazi Ghori

England Test Series Schedule

  • August 19–23: First Test – Leeds
  • August 27–31: Second Test – Lord’s, London
  • September 9–13: Third Test – Birmingham

The upcoming tours will provide Pakistan with an important opportunity to compete in challenging overseas conditions against two established Test-playing nations. The inclusion of several new faces also reflects the selectors’ focus on strengthening the team’s depth for the future.
