Pakistan Fails to Secure Win After 2-0 Lead in Asian Champions Trophy Hockey Match Against Malaysia

In a tightly contested match at the Moqi Hockey Training Base in Hulunbuir City, Inner Mongolia, Pakistan and Malaysia ended in a 2-2 draw during the Asian Champions Trophy on Sunday. Despite taking an early 2-0 lead, Pakistan was unable to maintain their advantage, leading to a tied outcome.

Goals for Pakistan came from Nadeem Ahmed and Sufyan Khan, with both players putting the Green Shirts in a commanding position. The match remained goalless at the end of the first quarter, but Sufyan’s strike gave Pakistan the lead in the second quarter. Nadeem added a second goal in the third quarter, strengthening Pakistan’s hold on the game.

However, Malaysia quickly fought back. They scored their first goal through a penalty corner and leveled the match with Aiman Rozemi’s goal just five minutes before the final whistle.
