SSGC Launches Mobile Customer Facilitation Van to Provide Doorstep Gas Services
Karachi: The Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has launched a mobile customer service unit, named the “Sahulat Van,” to provide a range of gas-related services directly to residents in Karachi.
The initiative was introduced in Gulistan-e-Johar as part of the company’s efforts to improve customer service and make routine gas-related assistance more accessible.
Services Available Through the Sahulat Van
According to SSGC, the mobile unit will help customers resolve a variety of service requests without the need to visit a customer facilitation center.
The Sahulat Van will provide assistance with:
- Reporting gas leakage complaints.
- Addressing low gas pressure issues.
- Registering faulty gas meter complaints.
- Resolving billing disputes and billing corrections.
- Printing duplicate gas bills on the spot.
- Providing information about the process for obtaining new gas connections.
Why Gulistan-e-Johar Was Selected
SSGC stated that Gulistan-e-Johar was chosen as the first location for the service because the area generates a relatively high number of customer complaints and service requests.
The company expects the mobile unit to improve response times while making customer support more convenient for local residents.
Improving Customer Services
Officials said the Sahulat Van is part of SSGC’s broader efforts to modernize customer support by bringing essential services closer to consumers.
The initiative is also expected to reduce the workload at permanent customer facilitation centers and provide faster resolution of routine complaints and inquiries.
SSGC has not yet announced whether the mobile service will be expanded to additional areas, but officials indicated that the program is intended to enhance customer convenience and improve service delivery.
