WBSC Announces Schedule for Women’s Baseball World Cup Group Tainan 2026

The World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) has officially released the match schedule for the WBSC/RAXUS Women’s Baseball World Cup Group Tainan 2026, which will be held from August 23 to August 27, 2026, in Tainan, Chinese Taipei.
The tournament will take place at the Secondary Field of the Asia Pacific International Baseball Complex (ASPAC) and will feature six national teams competing for qualification to the WBSC Women’s Baseball World Cup Finals 2027.
Teams Competing in Group Tainan
The Group Tainan tournament will feature the following teams:
- Japan (World No. 1)
- Chinese Taipei (World No. 6)
- Venezuela (World No. 5)
- Cuba (World No. 7)
- Great Britain (World No. 15)
- Philippines (World No. 21)
The competition will follow a single round-robin format, with each team facing every other team once.
Match Schedule
Three games will be played each day at the following local times:
- 10:30 AM
- 2:30 PM
- 6:30 PM
Host nation Chinese Taipei will play in the evening featured match each day.
On the opening day, Great Britain will face Venezuela in the tournament opener, followed by Philippines taking on Japan. The final game of the day will see Chinese Taipei play Cuba.
Group Rockford Tournament
Before the Tainan competition begins, the first qualifying group will take place in Rockford, Illinois, USA, from July 22 to July 26, 2026.
Group Rockford will feature:
- United States (World No. 2)
- Canada (World No. 3)
- Mexico (World No. 4)
- Hong Kong, China (World No. 8)
- Australia (World No. 10)
- Korea (World No. 12)
Qualification for the 2027 Finals
The 10th WBSC Women’s Baseball World Cup is being played in a two-stage qualification format.
The top three teams from both Group Rockford and Group Tainan will qualify for the WBSC Women’s Baseball World Cup Finals 2027, scheduled to take place in Rockford, Illinois, USA, from July 19 to July 25, 2027.
