FIH Hockey Pro League 2025-26: A New Chapter of Thrilling Action Awaits

The unforgettable moments of the FIH Hockey Pro League Season 6 are still fresh in the minds of fans, and now excitement is building as Season 7 of the “League of the Best” gets ready to begin. This upcoming season promises high-intensity action, new rivalries, and more than 144 thrilling matches that will keep hockey lovers hooked until the very last whistle.

And the stakes couldn’t be higher—both men’s and women’s champions of the 2025-26 season will secure a direct spot in the LA28 Olympic Games.


Season Kick-Off: Ireland & Argentina

The season opener will take place in Ireland, where Germany vs Belgium (men) will get things started. Later that same day, action will shift to Argentina as the defending champions Netherlands (men) take on newcomers Pakistan in what promises to be an exciting clash.

  • Ireland leg: Belgium, England, and Germany men; Belgium, England, and Ireland women.

  • Argentina leg: Argentina men & women, Pakistan men, Netherlands men & women, and Germany women.

Season Finale: June 2026

The league will wrap up in style on 28 June 2026, with action across Belgium, Germany, and England. On the closing day, six men’s and six women’s teams will battle it out, ensuring the excitement lasts until the very last match.

Just like the 2024-25 season—when Spain dramatically edged past Germany to qualify for the Men’s Hockey World Cup—the finale is expected to deliver unforgettable drama.


New Faces in the League

This season introduces Ireland women and Pakistan men, both making their debut after winning the FIH Hockey Nations Cup 2024-25. Their entry adds fresh energy, new rivalries, and broader global fan engagement.


Defending Champions

The Netherlands men and women enter Season 7 as defending champions. With the competition growing tougher, the Oranje teams will be determined to hold onto their crowns against world-class opposition.
