Buffalo Nicknamed ‘Donald Trump’ Becomes Viral Attraction Ahead of Eid in Bangladesh
Bangladesh is witnessing an unusual social media sensation as an albino buffalo nicknamed “Donald Trump” attracts large crowds ahead of Eid ul Azha.
The 700-kilogram buffalo, known for its flowing blond hair, has become a popular attraction at a livestock farm in Narayanganj near Dhaka.
Owner Zia Uddin Mridha said the buffalo received its nickname from his younger brother because its hairstyle resembles the signature blond hair of Donald Trump.
According to the owner, visitors, social media content creators, and families have been arriving throughout the month to see and photograph the animal. Caretakers regularly bathe and groom the buffalo to keep it comfortable during the hot weather.
Livestock officials said albino buffaloes are extremely rare due to low melanin production, which gives the animal its unusual white and pink appearance.
The buffalo has gained widespread attention online during preparations for Eid ul Azha, a major religious occasion in which millions of animals are sacrificed across Bangladesh.
The farm is also home to several other uniquely named animals, including bulls called “Tufan,” “Fat Boy,” and “Sweet Boy.” Another golden-haired bull was reportedly named after Brazilian football star Neymar.
Despite the buffalo’s growing popularity, the owner said the animal may soon be sacrificed as part of Eid ul Azha traditions, describing sacrifice as the core spirit of the occasion.
