Zverev Reaches French Open Final After Win Over Mensik
Alexander Zverev is one win away from claiming his first Grand Slam title after reaching the French Open final with a four-set victory over Jakub Mensik in the semifinals at Roland Garros.
The second-seeded German won the match 7–5, 6–2, 3–6, 6–3 to advance to the fourth Grand Slam final of his career.
Strong Performance in Semifinal
Zverev started strongly and took control in the early sets before Mensik fought back to win the third set. However, Zverev regained momentum in the fourth set to secure his place in the final.
Final Opponent Confirmed
In the championship match, Zverev will face Flavio Cobolli, who advanced after his semifinal opponent Matteo Arnaldi withdrew due to illness.
Arnaldi had spent nearly 20 hours on court during the tournament and was unable to compete after falling ill ahead of the match.
Title Opportunity
With several top-ranked players exiting earlier in the tournament, Zverev has emerged as one of the leading contenders for the French Open title.
