India began their three-match T20 International series against Zimbabwe with a seven-wicket victory at the Harare Sports Club, successfully chasing the target with 40 balls remaining.
Young opener Vaibhav Sooryavanshi starred with his first T20 International half-century, helping India secure a comfortable win.
Sooryavanshi Shines with Quickfire Fifty
The 15-year-old opener played an aggressive innings, scoring 50 runs from just 18 balls. His knock included four fours and four sixes, giving India a strong start in the run chase.
After reaching his maiden T20I fifty, Sooryavanshi was dismissed with India well on course for victory.
India Chase 126 with Ease
Chasing a target of 126, India finished on 126-3 in 13.2 overs.

The partnership between Ishan Kishan and captain Shreyas Iyer ensured India completed the chase comfortably.

India’s bowlers kept the scoring under control throughout the innings.

India’s bowling attack shared the wickets, with Mayank Yadav and Prasidh Yadav claiming two wickets each.

For his impressive spell with the ball, Mayank Yadav was named Player of the Match.
Positive Start to the Series
The victory gives India a 1-0 lead in the three-match T20I series.
Captain Shreyas Iyer praised the team’s all-round performance after the match and expressed confidence ahead of the remaining fixtures.
The two teams will now meet in the second T20 International, where India will look to extend its lead while Zimbabwe aims to level the series.
