Islamabad Reports 432 Kidnapping and Sexual Assault Cases in Early 2026

Police in Islamabad recorded 432 cases of kidnapping and sexual assault during the first five months of 2026, according to official data shared with local media.

The figures include 55 reported sexual assault cases and 377 kidnapping cases registered across different police jurisdictions in the federal capital between January and May.

Breakdown by Police Zones

Data shows variations in reported cases across different zones of Islamabad.

Among sexual assault cases, the highest number was recorded in the Soan Zone, followed by Sadar, Rural, Industrial Area, and City zones.

Kidnapping cases were also distributed across these regions, with Sadar Zone reporting the highest number, followed by Soan, Rural, City, and Industrial Area zones.

Legal Proceedings and Investigations

According to police records, cases were registered under relevant sections of the Pakistan Penal Code, including laws related to kidnapping and sexual offences. Some of the reported cases involved minors.

Authorities have launched investigations into all reported incidents, with legal proceedings underway in multiple cases.

Serious Cases Reported

In separate incidents mentioned in police data, some kidnapping cases resulted in fatalities after victims were recovered in different regions of the country.
