Katie Taylor Fight Sells Out Croke Park in Just 30 Minutes

DUBLIN — Tickets for Katie Taylor’s farewell boxing fight at Croke Park sold out within just 30 minutes, highlighting huge demand for one of the most anticipated sporting events of the year.

The Irish boxing star is set to headline the event on 5 September in what is expected to be the final fight of her professional career. She will face France’s Flora Pili in a high-profile bout at the iconic Dublin venue.

Organisers confirmed that tens of thousands of fans attempted to purchase tickets when they went on general sale, with all available seats being quickly snapped up.

Major Demand for Farewell Fight

The fight had already generated strong interest following months of preparation and promotional activity. Tickets were initially made available through presale for selected members before being released to the general public.

Croke Park, one of Ireland’s largest stadiums, was chosen as the venue to fulfil Taylor’s long-standing wish to headline at the historic ground.

Katie Taylor, who holds a professional record of 25 wins and 1 loss, will face undefeated challenger Flora Pili, who enters the bout with a 12–0 record.

High Anticipation Builds

The rapid sell-out reflects the strong popularity of Taylor, widely regarded as one of Ireland’s most successful boxers. Many fans were left disappointed after failing to secure tickets due to overwhelming demand.

The fight is expected to be one of the biggest events in women’s boxing this year as Taylor prepares to close out her professional career on home soil.
