JBS and Mercantile Partner to Expand Official Apple Access for Pakistani Businesses
Technology company Jaffer Business Systems (JBS) and Apple-authorised distributor Mercantile have entered into a partnership aimed at making officially sourced Apple products more accessible to businesses across Pakistan.
The partnership is expected to provide companies with a formal channel for purchasing Apple devices in bulk, along with services designed specifically for corporate and enterprise customers.
Focus on Official Apple Devices
According to Mercantile CEO Pakistan and Senior Vice-President Nauman Durrani, businesses have traditionally faced limited options when purchasing Apple devices through formal channels.
He said companies could potentially save up to Rs80,000 per handset by purchasing Apple products, including iPhones, through official, PTA-approved channels instead of relying on grey-market supplies from locations such as Dubai.
The new arrangement will allow corporate customers to purchase devices in larger quantities rather than sourcing them individually through retail markets.
Centralised Device Management
The companies said the partnership will also focus on corporate device management and security.
Businesses will be able to use centralised device enrollment and apply security policies across company-owned Apple devices. These capabilities can help organisations manage devices and protect corporate information, particularly in sectors where data security is a major requirement.
The arrangement is also expected to provide local after-sales services through Mercantile Care centres.
Service facilities are currently available in Islamabad and Lahore, with a Karachi location planned in the near future.
Expanding Technology Solutions for Businesses
JBS CEO Waqar-ul-Islam said adding Apple products to the company’s portfolio would strengthen its technology offering for corporate customers.
He noted that the growing use of artificial intelligence applications and digital workflows requires computing capabilities to extend beyond traditional systems and onto mobile devices.
The partnership brings Apple hardware into JBS’s broader business technology portfolio and is intended to establish a more structured approach to Apple device procurement and support for companies operating in Pakistan.
