Asian Games 2026 Squash: India Squad, Schedule and Key Details

India will field an eight-member squash squad at the Asian Games 2026 in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, with medals up for grabs in five events.
The squash competition will be held from September 23 to October 2 at the Nagoya Kinjo-Futo Arena.
Teenager Anahat Singh is among the key names in the Indian squad, which will compete in men’s and women’s singles, team events and mixed doubles.
India’s Squash Players at Asian Games 2026
Abhay Singh, Veer Chotrani, Velavan Senthilkumar and Suraj Chand will represent India in the men’s events.
Anahat Singh, Joshna Chinappa, Tanvi Khanna and Shameena Riaz will compete in the women’s events.
In the men’s singles competition, Abhay Singh has been seeded second, while Veer Chotrani is the fourth seed.
In the women’s singles draw, Anahat Singh is seeded third and Tanvi Khanna is seventh.
Mixed Doubles Teams
India will have two pairs in the mixed doubles competition.
Velavan Senthilkumar will partner with Joshna Chinappa, while Suraj Chand will team up with Shameena Riaz.
Both pairs will be looking to secure a strong result for India in the event.
India’s Squash Team Events
India’s men’s team has been placed in Pool A along with the Republic of Korea and China.
The men’s squad consists of Abhay Singh, Veer Chotrani, Velavan Senthilkumar and Suraj Chand.
The Indian women’s team has been drawn in Pool C alongside hosts Japan, China and Iran.
Anahat Singh, Joshna Chinappa, Tanvi Khanna and Shameena Riaz will form India’s women’s team.
LA 2028 Olympic Qualification
The singles events at the Asian Games 2026 are particularly important because the men’s and women’s singles champions are set to receive a quota place for the LA 2028 Olympics, subject to the qualification requirements.
Squash will make its Olympic debut at the 2028 Games in Los Angeles.
