Punjab Police Personnel Reportedly Served Poor-Quality Food During Long March Duty
Punjab Police personnel deployed for security duties in connection with the PTI long march have reportedly complained about the quality of food being provided to them during their stay in Wah Cantt.
According to a report, a video circulating on social media shows food served to police personnel stationed in the area. The footage allegedly shows insects and worms in a lentil dish.
Police personnel can reportedly be heard raising concerns about the condition of the meal and discussing the issue with senior officers.
The additional police force has been accommodated at different locations in and around Wah Cantt as part of security arrangements for the long march. Earlier reports said personnel brought in from other districts were being housed in schools, colleges and other buildings in the Rawalpindi division.
The latest footage has raised questions about the arrangements being made for the personnel performing extended security duties.
As of the latest available information, no official response regarding the reported food-quality complaint was included in the report.
The issue comes as additional police personnel continue to perform security duties in the region, with authorities making arrangements for their accommodation and other basic requirements.
