Lahore Weather: Temperature Expected to Rise Up to 42°C Amid Heatwave Conditions

Lahore and other parts of Punjab are experiencing hot and dry weather as temperatures continue to rise across the region.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), Lahore’s current temperature is around 32°C. The city recorded a minimum temperature of 26°C, while daytime temperatures are expected to climb significantly.

Rising Heat Conditions

Weather officials have forecast that the maximum temperature in Lahore may reach up to 41°C during the day. In the coming days, temperatures could increase further, with a possible peak of around 42°C.

Night temperatures are also expected to remain high, with minimum levels rising to 28°C, which may contribute to warm and uncomfortable conditions even after sunset.

Weather Outlook

Meteorologists say the ongoing spell of dry heat is likely to intensify over the next 24 to 48 hours. The region is expected to remain under hot weather conditions with little relief in sight.

Advisory for Citizens

Authorities have advised residents to take precautions during the heatwave period. People are encouraged to:

  • Avoid direct sunlight during peak hours
  • Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water
  • Limit outdoor activities where possible
  • Take necessary measures to protect against heat-related illness

The PMD continues to monitor the situation and will provide further updates as conditions develop.
