Petrol Price Reduced Slightly as Diesel Becomes More Expensive in Pakistan

The federal government has announced a minor reduction in petrol prices while increasing the price of high-speed diesel (HSD), according to the latest fuel price notification issued by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA).

Under the revised rates:

  • Petrol has been reduced by Rs. 1 per litre, bringing the new price to Rs. 334.18 per litre.
  • High-Speed Diesel (HSD) has increased by Rs. 3.37 per litre, taking the new price to Rs. 386.83 per litre.

The updated prices came into effect at the start of the new week.

Previous Price Update

In the previous revision, petrol prices had increased by Rs. 3.66 per litre to Rs. 335.18 per litre, while diesel prices rose by Rs. 4.80 per litre to Rs. 383.46 per litre.

Overall Increase Since Daily Pricing Began

Since the introduction of daily fuel price revisions, petrol prices have increased by Rs. 23.46 per litre, while diesel prices have risen by Rs. 63.50 per litre.

Motorists and businesses are expected to monitor future announcements as fuel prices continue to be reviewed on a regular basis.
