Sindh Expands Electric Bus Fleet with Addition of 100 New Buses
The Sindh government has taken another step toward improving public transport by approving the inclusion of 100 additional electric buses in its transport system. This move is part of the province’s ongoing efforts to promote eco-friendly and modern transportation solutions.
Senior Minister for Information, Transport, and Mass Transit, Sharjeel Inam Memon, shared that the expansion aims to make daily commuting more convenient for citizens while reducing environmental pollution.
According to the minister, increasing the number of electric buses will help provide safer, cleaner, and more efficient travel options for the public. He emphasized that climate change and rising environmental concerns require strong action and sustainable policies.
The government has already introduced electric buses and scooters in several areas as part of its green transport initiative. Officials believe these steps will not only improve urban mobility but also contribute to lowering carbon emissions and reducing fuel dependency.
Sharjeel Inam Memon added that such projects reflect the government’s commitment to modernizing the transport sector and encouraging environmentally responsible practices across the province.
